The Portable Bacterial Turbidity Meter (model WGZ‑XB) is a handheld device that measures bacterial concentration in a liquid suspension by detecting turbidity. It is pre‑calibrated against a barium sulfate (BaSO₄) reference solution and displays readings directly in McFarland units (MCF), eliminating the need for manual chart matching or mental conversion. Typical applications include preparing standard inocula for antimicrobial susceptibility tests, monitoring microbial growth in fermentation processes, checking cell density in vaccine production, and conducting routine quality control in biologic laboratories.
